Justine Estrada defeats Dona Castro

On Saturday January, 19 2013 at Art of War: "Game Face, Respect the Game" at The Chicken Ranch Casino in Jamestown, California.

Justine Estrada (2-0-0) defeated Dona Castro (1-4-0) by KO (head kick) in the third round of their 135-pound amateur Championship match.

Justine is a 5'5 twenty year old fighter from Modesto, California. She trains at Dynamic Martial Arts where she is coached by Paul Mendoza and Matt Miller.

I asked Justine how long she had been training and what got her started in MMA, this is her answer, "Ive been training with them for three years now. I'm lucky to have coaches like Matt and Paul that are able to push me even when I feel like I can't keep going. They've both mentally and physically prepared me for anything I have to face. I started training when I was seventeen and in high school. I was just really bored with everything. I tried sports and clubs but nothing held my interest. I wanted to be challenged and at the time one of my friends told me about Muay Thai and showed me some videos and so i started looking for a gym to train at. As soon as I saw the Muay Thai class going on I know it was for me. I became addicted to it and pretty much stopped doing anything else. Eventually I started cross training in BJJ and now I'm into MMA. I just love learning new things and being able to see what I'm capable of."
