Michelle Blalock: Ring Of Fire 125-pound Champion

Non Stop WMMA would like to congratulate Michelle Blalock for her great accomplishments. She ended her amateur career undefeated and as the Ring Of Fire 135-pound amateur Champion.

Then this past weekend she opened up her professional career with a very impressive TKO victory over a very good fighter in Casey Noland to become the Ring Of Fire 125-pound professional Champion.

As a member of the Knuckle Up apparel team I would like to say we are proud to have Michelle wear our product she is a great fighter and a great person.










Stacy Hayes defeats Juta Vegi





On Sunday April, 17 at Fury MMA Cage Fighting in Ramford, Essex, England.

Satcy "The Hammer" Hayes (1-0-0) defeated Juta Vegi (0-2-0) by unanimous decision in their 155-pound amateur MMA match.


Liz Roig defeats Esli Kilponen





On Saturday April, 16 at Vendetta Fight Card 39 in Melrose Park, Illinois.

Liz Roig (2-1-0) defeated Elsi Kilponen (1-1-0) by submission (arm triangle) in the first round of their 115-pound amateur MMA match.

Liz trains at Hackney's Combat Academy in Roselle, Illinois, where she is coached by Keith Hackney. 

Ericka Newsome defeats Autumn Richardson




On Saturday April, 17 at  U of MMA in Los Angeles, California.

 #6 ranked 145-pound fighter Ericka Newsome (4-0-0) defeated #15 ranked 145-pound fighter Autumn Richardson (3-3-0) by unanimous decision in their 145-pound amateur MMA match.

In her last match on February 18, Ericka defeated Ashlee Evans-Smith by submission (rear-naked choke)

Tamikka Brents defeats Jessica Hoff





On Saturday April, 16 at Freedom Fights Series in Springfield, Illinois.

#1 ranked 155-pound fighter Tamikka Brents ( 9-0-1) defeated Jessica Hoss (0-1-0) by TKO (ref stoppage) in the first round of their150-pound amateur MMA match.

Tamikka has said that this was her final fight as an amateur and that she will be turning pro now. If this is she true she will have ended her amateur career as the number one fighter at 155 and undefeated.

She was scheduled to make her pro debut April 30th but that is not been confirmed yet.

Maria Andaverde defeats Deidra Gravina






On Saturday April, 16 at Rouge Warriors Cage Fights in Redding, California.

#24 ranked Maria Andaverde (3-2-0) defeated Deidra Gravina (2-3-0) by TKO (ref stoppage due to strikes) in the second round of their 125-pound amateur MMA match.

Maria trains with Team Warrior Savage in Redding, California she is coached by Corey Rhoades.

On Saturday, April, 16 at AM Ford Fight Night: "Redemption" in Trail, British Columbia, Canada.

#8 ranked 135-pound fighter River Jones (4-0-0) defeated Cheryl Chan (2-2-0) by TKO (GNP) in the first round of their 130-pound amateur MMA match.

River trains in Trail, British Columbia out of Pride Gym where she is coached by Glen Kalesniko and Corey Colwell. 

Margarita Chavez defeats Cassie Rodish




On Friday April, 15 at Evolution Combat Sports Championship: "Friday Night Fights" in Clovis, New Mexico.

Margarita Chavez (1-1-0) defeated Cassie Rodish (0-3-0) by split decision in their 115-pound professional match.

Margarita who is the sister of top ranked 105-pound fighter Angelica Chavez is coming off the only loss of her career a close decision against  Shoni Esquiro.

Margarita trains at Chavez Martial Arts Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

On Saturday April, 16 at Ring Of Fire 40: "Backlash" in Denver, Colorado.

Michelle "Bobcat" Blalock (1-0-0) defeated Casey 'KO" Noland (2-1-0) by TKO (due to strikes) in the second round of their 125-pound professional Championship MMA match.

Michelle who is now the Ring Of Fire 125-pound champion was making her pro debut after a very successful amateur career.

She trains at Fuseboxe MMA in Broomfield, Colorado where she is coached by Micheal Sullivan.


Gina Carano vs. Sarah D'Alelio

On Saturday June, 18 at Strikeforce: "Overeeem vs. Verdum" in Dallas, Texas.

Gina "Conviction" Carano (7-1-0) will return to the cage against Sarah D'Alelio (4-1-0) in a 145-pound professional match.

Gina who is getting ready for this fight at Jackson/Winklejohn MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico has not fought since her loss to Christiane "Cyborg" Santos in August of 2009.

She has kept busy however filming a movie that will be released late this summer called "Haywire."

Rachel Dovidio defeats Chandra Engel



On Saturday April, 16 at NAAFS: "Caged Vengeance" in Canton, Ohio.

#7 ranked 135-pound fighter Rachel "The Rage" Dovidio (5-1-0) defeated #16 ranked 135-pound fighter Chandra Engel (5-4-0) by unanimous decision in their 135-pound amateur MMA match.

Rachel has now won two fights in a row since her lone loss to Olympic silver medalist Sara Mcmann on July, 31 2010.
Rachel trains out of Jackson, North Carolina.

On Friday April, 15 at Evolution Combat Sports championship: "friday Night fights" in Clovis, New Mexico.

#25 ranked 125-pound fighter Heather "Hurricane" Clark (3-1-0) defeated Jennifer "Superstar" Scott (2-1-0) by TKO in the second round of their 125-pound professional MMA match.

Heather has now won three fights in a row including wins over April Coutino and Kyane Hampton. Her only loss was in her debut against Karina Hallinan

Carla Esparza defeats Yadira Anzaldua




On Friday April, 15 at Evolution Combat Sports Championship: "Friday Night Fights" in Clovis, New Mexico.

#14 ranked 115-pound fighter Carla Esparza (5-1-0) defeated Yadira Anzaldua (2-3-0) by submission (rear-naked choke) in the first round of their 115-pound professional MMA match.

Carla continues to impress, this is now her second victory in a row since losing to Megumi Fujii in the first round of the Bellator 115-pound tournament. Carla's other impressive victories came against Lacey Schuckman at 125-pounds, Karina Hallinan and Cassie Trost.

Carla will now prepare to face fellow Bellator tournament competitor Jessica Augillar in June under the Bellator umbrella. In my opinion this match with Jessica should be a contenders match for Zoila Frausto's 115-pound title, which hopefully she will first be defending against Bellator 115-pound tournament runner-up Megumi Fujii.

Kelly Kobold defeats Pipi Taylor




On Friday April, 15 at Brutaal: "Fight Night Owatonna" in Owatonna, , Minnesota.

Kelly "Blood Red" Kobold (17-3-1) defeated Pipi Taylor (5-1-0) by submission (armbar) in the first round of their 150-pound professional MMA match.

Kelly who weighed in at 145 is coming off of a two and a half year layoff from professional MMA she had previously lost her last three matches in a row including her last match when was defeated by Gina Carano in October of 2008.

Expect to see Kelly break back into the top 25 at 145-pounds with this victory.

On March, 19 she was defeated by Kyla 
Potter by unanimous decision in a 115-pound match.

On Saturday April, 9 at Rinside MMA: 10 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Valerie "Trouble" Letourneau (3-2-0) defeated Julie Malenfant (0-1-0) by TKO (liver kick) in the second round of their 135-pound professional MMA match.

Valerie has not fought since 2009 when she defeated Kate Roy
 and before that had not fought since 2007 when she lost to both Alexis Davis and Sarah Kaufman.

Her other victory came against Tannaya Hantelman. also in 2007.

Valerie trains at Zahabi MMA where she is coached by Farad Zahabi, the striking coach of George St.Pierre.

Julie Kedzie defeats Kaitlin Young



On Saturday April, 9 at Jackson's MMA Series: III in Albuqurque, New Mexico.

#11 ranked 135-pound fighter Julie "Fireball" Kedzie (16-8-0) defeated Kaitlin Young (4-5-0) by unanimous decision in their 135-pound professional MMA match.

Both of these ladies were on the reality show "The Ultimate Women Challenge" and both are veterans of the sport.

Julie last fought December 18th 2010 when she defeated Sarah D'Alellio by unanimous decision. She is well known for having fought some of the best females in the sport including her losses to Gina Carano, Tara LaRosa and Shayna Bayzler.

She trains and coaches at Jackson's MMA in Albuqurque, New Mexico.

Jodie Esquibel defeats Brittany Horton



On Saturday April, 9 at Jackson's MMA Series: III in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Jodie Esquibel (1-0-0) defeated Brittany Horton (0-1-0) by TKO (kick & punches) in the first round of their 105-pound professional MMA match.

Jodie trains at Jackson's MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she is coached by Greg Jackson. She also had Holly Holm in her corner.

This was not only the professional debut for Jodie but it was also her first time ever fighting MMA. Because of the fact that she is a professional boxer, she would not have been allowed to fight MMA as an amateur.

Her boxing record is 6-5-1.


 

T.J Cunanan defeats Kelley Renee




On Saturday April, 9 at Jackson's MMA Series: III in Albaqurque, New Mexico.

T.J. "Soo Bee Doo" Cunanan (1-0-0) defeated Kelley Renee (1-1-0) by majority decision in a 125-pound professional MMA match. 

T.J. who finished off her amateur career ranked #16 at 135-pounds and the Tuff-N-Uff 135-pound champion, dropped down to 125-pounds for her professional debut.

In her last title deffense T.J. defeated Emily Kagan in a rematch after having lost a close decision in their first fight.

T.J trains at Phoenix Combat Academy/ Jay Pages Jiu Jitsu in Phoenix, Arizona where she has been trainning at for over two years now, she is coached by Jay Pages and Sunshine Fettkether.


 

Beckie Lobb defeats Katrina Branchal




On Saturday April, 9 at Jackson's MMA Series: III in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Beckie Lobb (1-0-0) defeated Katrina Branchal (0-1-0) by TKO (punches) in the third round of their 135-pound amateur MMA match.

Beckie is a forty-three year-old former NAGA grappling champion, professional body builder and a grandmother who fights out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Avery Vilche defeats Sarah Maloy



On Saturday April, 9 at Freestyle Cage Fighting: 46 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Avery Vilche (2-5-1) defeated Sarah Maloy (2-1-0) by unanimous decision in their 125-pound professional MMA match.

Avery is coming off of a four fight losing streak which includes loses to Lacey Schuckman and Michelle Ould.

Avery also took this fight on short notice.

Ashley Sanchez (2-2-0) defeaed Erin Toughill (10-3-1) by unanimous decision in their 160-pound professional MMA match.

Erin had not fought since May, 8 2009 and Ashley last fought MMA April, 3 2008.

Ashley trains at Central Illinois Combat Club where she is coached by Bob Long.

Hopefully we can see Ashley drop down in weight now and fight at 155-pounds same for Erin.
