#1 ranked 135-pound fighter Miesha "Takedown" Tate (12-2-0) defeated #2 ranked 135-pound fighter Marloes "Rumina" Coenen (19-5-0) by submission (arm triangle) in the fourth round of their 135-pound Championship match.
Miesha will now prepare for a rematch with former 135-pound champion Sarah Kaufman who defeated her by unanimous decision in their May, 15 fight that was contested with three minute rounds.
In her last appearance for Strikeforce almost a year ago on August, 13 2010 she won the Strikeforce 135-pound tournament to earn her title shot by defeating Maiju Kujala and Hitomi Akano in the same night.
Miesha trains at Ultimate Fitness Gym in Sacramento, California. She was cornered by Brian Caraway
and Travis Calanoc.
