On October 9, Strikeforce crowned a new women’s welterweight champion. Dutch submission ace Marloes Coenen not only captured the title but also handed Sarah Kaufman her first defeat ever.
Marloes now 18-4 will set her sights on her next challenger, Miesha Tate in what promises to be another outstanding match. After her championship victory last week, Marloes sat down with VigilanteMMA for an interview and discussed her big victory in San Jose, her tough drop to 135, the confusing aftermath in the Kaufman fight, and much more.
