Tomomi "Windy Tomomi" Sunaba (15-12-1) will battle Akiko Naito (6-9-0)
Tomomi is coming off of a very impressive victory against #11 ranked 125-pound fighter Monica Lovato who took that fight at 115-pounds on September 5, at Pancrase MMA.She is on a three fight win streak and has not lost since November of 2009 when Megumi Fujii defeated her by armbar. Tomomi's other victory's against currently ranked fighters was all the way back in November 2008 when she defeated current #15 ranked 115-pound fighter Emi Fujino and in July 2005 when she defeated #4 ranked 105-pound fighter Misaki Takimoto. The fact that "Windy" as she is also known has victories against three ranked fighters in three different weight classes is a testament to her versatility and her willingness to take on any challenger.
Akiko is coming off of a victory against Yasuko Mogi whom she had already previously beaten at Valkyrie 5 in April. Before that fight she had been on a three fight losing streak. Akiko holds no notable wins against any currently ranked fighters.
