Jodie Esquibel defeats Brittany Horton

On Saturday April, 9 at Jackson's MMA Series: III in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Jodie Esquibel (1-0-0) defeated Brittany Horton (0-1-0) by TKO (kick & punches) in the first round of their 105-pound professional MMA match.

Jodie trains at Jackson's MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she is coached by Greg Jackson. She also had Holly Holm in her corner.

This was not only the professional debut for Jodie but it was also her first time ever fighting MMA. Because of the fact that she is a professional boxer, she would not have been allowed to fight MMA as an amateur.

Her boxing record is 6-5-1.

  1. Jodie looks amazing. Her opponent however looks as though she is making her amateur debut, not pro.

  2. Congrats on your debuts, ldaies. Both of you need to be on Twitter, as there are a bunch of people advocating #WomensMMA and #EqualFights on your behalf. Be a part of the discussion, make your voice heard to the MMA decision makers and engnge your fans, quickly and easily!

Anyone interested in seeing Women's MMA grow in popularity should be making their voice heard, on Twitter, Facebook and even on comments like this one. If we as fans don't let the movers and shakers know that we expect to see these bouts on TV, it will never happen...
