On Saturday January, 26 at Sugar Creek Showdown 5: "Frost Bitten" at The Sugar Creek Casino in Houghton, Oklahoma.
#7 ranked 115-pound fighter Chel-C Bailey (4-0-0) defeated Nicole Duffy (0-1-0) by submission (rear-naked choke0 in the first round of their 115-pound amateur MMA match.
Chel-C won the Submission of the Night award.
Chel-C is a 5'0 twenty year old fighter originally from Chewelah, Washington and now living and training out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She trains at American Top Team where she is coached by Giulliano Gallupi and Johnathan Gary'
I asked Chel-C how long has she been training and what got her started in MMA and this was her answer, "I have trained MMA for about a year and a half now, off and on here and there not consistently yet. I got started because a friend pushed me into it and from there I just got caught up into it by meeting people and training around so now I am just involved in it and so now I do it off and on."
