On Saturday January, 5 2013 at 3 Fighting Championship at Smokey Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

#13 ranked 135-pound fighter Amy Coleman (4-0-0) defeated Sharvonda Jordan (2-1-0) by submission (armbar) in the first round of their 135 pound amateur Championship match.

Amy is a 5'7 twenty-six year old fighter from West Knoxville, Tennessee. She trains at Shield Systems MMA/BJJ where she is coached by Ben Harrison.

Her other wins have come against Cara Dickey who she defeated by first round forty four second TKO. Katie Dorman who she defeated in the second round by TKO due to strikes and Brandy Davis who she also defeated in the second round by TKO due to strikes.

I asked Amy why she began to train in MMA and this was her answer, "I started MMA after years of other competitive martial arts. After trying out his program and realizing it was the only way to actually test myself and get to the next level."
